This is a view of what's happening next month so far that we have found. This is not reliable, as some sources don't update their events that far ahead, and we don't fetch that far either -- but as we see them, they'll be here.

@ Basement DJ GIGOLA, MEILGAARDEN, OZA Salome returns to BASEMENT for her first set of the year. A key resident of Herrensauna, Salome matches the expansive, edgy technoid sounds of her crew with a hard, lean and crushing interpretation of electro. Indeed, she told RA “When I first heard electro, I had an epiphany.” But Salome doesn’t paint herself into a corner. The Georgian-born, Berlin-based artist weaves a complex tapestry that cannot be pigeonholed. Peachlyfe contorts club sounds into fascinatingly twisted shapes. The Copenhagen artist is at the forefront of a generation that’s reinterpreting trance, psy, prog and more through a lens of post-deconstructed club. Tracks like “Return of the Wasp Waist / Calling All My Hoes” are prime examples of truly alien music. In their own words, they make tracks “that shouldn’t make sense, but do, pulling chaos into something weirdly anthemic.” Sister Zo’s unique sound wraps the propulsion and linear clarity of techno around the twisted chassis of modern bass music. Or perhaps it’s the other way around. Her releases on Martyn’s 3024 and elsewhere breathe with spacious ease while pummeling you with some of the heaviest low end on the books today.
DJ Gigola is back in STUDIO. One of the main Live From Earth affiliates, Gigola has embodied the label’s rulebook-shredding approach as well as anyone. She can rinse a room for all its worth, or take you on a deep dive into a “fluid mediation.” In her hands, it’s all good. Last year’s “Bigroom Sensual II” captures her in a peaktime moment, with rubbery synths and giant, HD climaxes that send the dancefloor to the highest heights. Meilgaarden is a kindred spirit, capturing a stylish iteration of some of the cheekiest sounds in the club music canon. Trance, proggy house and rolling, techy grooves bleed together with a breezy, hypnotic power. Tunnel founder OZA makes the trip from Los Angeles. A key proponent of queer nightlife in his hometown, OZA embraces a full-throttle sound heavy on cutting edge club sounds.

@ Basement QUELZA, RACHEL NOON, COTTON FETISH ATTIRE MANDATORY
Porneceptual is back from Berlin following their takeover last November. And though Quelza is no stranger to the room, this marks the French producer’s first appearance for their nights. It’s a match made in heaven; Quelza’s moody, cinematic approach covers significant ground, moving from captivating mystery through unexpected, noisy flourishes to pure, adrenaline-soaked power. Rachel Noon represents the collective. A longtime resident of both Pornceptual and Fast Forward Productions, Noon has an exemplary, intuitive grasp on the essence of raving. Whether in her DJ sets or collaborative productions as Self Care Starter Pack, Noon finds a uniquely exploratory approach to techno. cotton steps back in the booth. An artist with strong ties to the wildest corners of the NY techno underground, cotton’s unbounded sensibility finds fertile psychedelia across a range of genres.
Mike Servito continues to set the bar. The Bunker NY resident’s reign in NY has been a singular one. Rooted in Detroit and exemplifying the raw, no-BS energy of Midwest rave, Servito stands as both an ambassador to true-school jacking house and as a full-blown auteur in his own right. In his hands, no bassline is safe and every drum machine is a deadly weapon. Over and over again, Kilopatrah Jones makes a case for herself as the most soulful selector on the planet. Across her ever-growing list of live commitments and Divaa, Where’s My Purse? - her long-running residency on The Lot Radio - Jones bathes the dancefloor in euphoric deep house from every era. Karim Olen Ash is back for his second set in STUDIO. The organizer behind Toronto’s Pep Rally parties, Olen Ash sinks into a timeless groove rooted in the seductive, jazzy legacy of classic labels like Nervous Records and Strictly Rhythm.

@ Basement DEMI RIQUÍSIMO, IAN CRANE, RYKER, ADOBEPRINCESS Lady Starlight’s hardware live sets are some of the best in techno today. Embracing a radical simplicity, Starlight keeps the focus on the raw power of her machines, coaxing a vast and enveloping sound world from only a few sources. Starlight’s music has found a home on many of the best imprints in the world today - Tresor, WSNWG and Figure, to name a few. It’s a testament to both the technical mastery and honed musical vision she embodies. Volvox joins her. One of the key voices in NY techno for over a decade, Volvox’s evolution from hometown hero to a global talent has felt both remarkable and inevitable. She approaches the craft of DJing with a confidence and rigor that few can match. Aöcram returns following their appearance at the MORD night last October. Aöcram’s affiliation with the landmark label (as well as other significant imprints like Axis, Semantica and Kopakt) should come as no surprise; their music exemplifies the throbbing power and hypnotic, scorched-earth darkness that has become synonymous with the name.
Demi Riquísimo makes his debut in STUDIO. The Detroit-born, London-based artist has become a certified breakout, pushing a delicious take on italo-drenched disco house. Tracks like “Don’t Go Away” feel like instant classics, with an uncontainable energy and cresting, euphoric highs that leap out of the speakers from the first moment. His Semi Delicious label boasts a head-turning roster of fellow party starters as well, positioning Riquísimo at the center of a thrilling artistic moment. This will be a treat. Ian Crane and Ryker keep the flow going with their b2b. A perfect compliment and perfect example of opposites attracting, Crane and Ryker draw out the best in each other. adobeprincess makes her return. A longtime fixture on NY’s trippier corners, adobeprincess evokes a deep rainforest psychedelia in her winding, carefully-tuned sets.

@ Basement THE CARRY NATION, JORKES, SEVYN Rave crusaders Schwefelgelb are back to preach the gospel. The German duo has been active for nearly two decades, but it was with 2017’s “Es Zieht Mich” that they evolved into their current form. Embracing glass-sharp synths and throbbing, bassline-driven grooves, the pair fused their love of industrial and electroclash with a vision of techno as sleek, rugged, and confrontational. The song was a bonafide hit and has become a modern classic. Since then, Schwefelgelb have confirmed their status as one of the best acts in techno today. Their ruthlessly effective dancefloor beaters never spare a flourish of color, always finding a tweak to the formula. RUIZ OSC1’s unique “folkloric groove techno” offers a fascinating counterpoint. The Colombian-born artist pulls the genre far away from its main, Euro-centric lane, weaving in South American motifs and free-flowing percussive cross-rhythms. Last year saw the release of her “Techsturbation” EP on Héctor Oaks’ KOAZ label. The EP goes all-in on full throttle rave, wasting no time in hitting the dancefloor where it hurts. KXAH returns to the room. Self-identified as “married to the bassline,” KXAH’s pared back, grooving sound has been making major waves. She has become an unmissable presence in NYC.
The Carry Nation cannot be stopped. The duo of Nita Aviance and Will Automagic stands as one of the key pillars in NY nightlife. Their long-running night of the same name has of course been an indispensable hub for queer techno. But they are perhaps more beloved for their sets, which connect directly to the taproot of house music. Fully entwined with the last quarter century of dance music in NYC, The Carry Nation have lived it. And when you hear them play, you’re living it right there with them. Freeride Millenium-founder Jorkes joins them. The German artist has no compunctions, keeping it real and steamy every time. On releases like 2023’s “Sodomy,” Jorkes goes all-in on the lurid and the liberated. NY’s Sevyn makes plenty of space for stretched-out fluid jazz in her sets. Originally hailing from Washington, DC, Sevyn’s sets are of a piece with rich traditions of immersive Black collective music - from jazz to go-go to house - that blossomed in her hometown.

@ Basement ALARICO, AMORAL, CONCRETE HUSBAND Alarico brings the full force of his vision to BASEMENT. The Italian techno producer has been a key figure in a new wave of artists who are reshaping the genre into something fresh: brutal yet grooving and immaculately dirt-caked. Of the modern crop, Alarico is one of the best, standing apart both in his productions and his curation. He co-runs the essential Primal Instinct label with Chlär and has released steadily on hubs like KEY Vinyl, Mutual Rytm and Klockworks. He’s joined by AMORAL, returning to the room from Amsterdam. AMORAL’s spacious, driving sound rides a perfect line between steely brutalism and expansive grooviness. Concrete Husband is back following the release of his landmark “Where The Ashes Glow.” A truly multidisciplinary artist, Concrete Husband splits time between avant garde composition, drawing on his training as a classical flautist, and heaving techno. “Where The Ashes Glow” is his most unified work to date, bridging these poles with elegant physicality and penetrating pathos.
London’s fka.m4a draws on the essential buoyancy of house music. Active for over a decade in the underground, he brings a free-spirited, bubblegum sensibility to the genre, embracing its gooeyist, fizziest qualities. But that’s not at the expense of depth. fka.m4a can steer the ship into harder waters when necessary, pushing the mix to revelatory heights. Tommy Hart is a true believer. A devotee of house music’s communal spirit and liberatory ethos, the Mexico City-based artist is on a mission to deliver transcendence, one classic at a time. Ana B takes a break from her day job as techno sorceress to deliver a special house set. The Ukrainian DJ is known for her intuitive, inclusive approach to genre, with tracks from across the spectrum woven into a cohesive whole. This rare appearance at STUDIO will be special.

@ Basement DJ MINX, MASSIMILIANO PAGLIARA Wrecked take us into spring with a b2b set from founders Ron Like Hell and Ryan Smith. Taking over BASEMENT, the duo is pulling out all the stops for the one. Over nearly fifteen years, Wrecked has defined itself by its music-first policy, and Ron and Ryan are exemplars of this philosophy. Matching dank, grooving energy with unrestrained punkish power, moments of lush depth and a top-to-bottom command of dancefloor momentum, this will be special.
DJ Minx, aka Detroit’s First Lady of Wax, co-headlines STUDIO. Active in her hometown since the birth of techno, Minx was first exposed to club music at the legendary Music Institute. Since those mid ‘80s heydays, Minx has been a staunch advocate for, and a practitioner of timeless, soulful dance music - always delivering it with a twist. She is responsible for classics like “A Walk in the Park,” which melds an unerring dancefloor sensibility with a touch of mystery. Minx is joined by STUDIO resident Massimiliano Pagliara. Fusing classic italo and timeless house with his personal sound signature, Pagliara is a landmark talent. Euphoria is baked into his sound at an atomic level; for a great example, try “Hooking Up,” his most recent EP on his own Funnuvojere label. Across four tracks, Pagliara submerges the listener in glowing, neon hues and shimmering synths straight out of the ‘80s.

@ Basement MISS TWINK USA, MAKADSI, STERLING JUAN DIAZ FETISH ATTIRE MANDATORY
LOLSNAKE returns to BOUND. The Weeeirdos co-founder stitches together full-bore, steely techno with ethereal highs and gooey pockets of euphoria. As her alias suggests, LOLSNAKE throws a playful spanner in the works, but it only serves to heighten the impact of her surging, uncompromising sets. Elle Dee takes the reins. The driving force behind the Mild Fantasy label and event series, Dee’s range covers everything from bubbling acid to searing, monolithic techno. She’s no stranger to BASEMENT, having appeared in the room nearly two dozen times since the club’s opening. BOUND founder and resident Katie Rex raises the stakes. A fearsome DJ, Rex’s mixture of throbbing, concrete-thick techno with tinges of gothic and industrial substrains has helped seal her reputation as a catalyzing force in NY and abroad.
Miss Twink USA is back in STUDIO. Channeling their hometown’s iconic, delirious energy and jacking percussive power, Miss Twink USA comes in hot and never relents. In addition to their solo work, they are half of the Rumors party and mix series, alongside Ariel Zetina, which has been a hub for queer nightlife in Chicago for over a decade. In all their work, Miss Twink USA brings a blazing urgency and an exquisite poise to the dancefloor. Function founder Makadsi keeps the energy at a peak. A pillar of a certain subsection of NY nightlife, Makadsi embodies the raw, energized lineages of ‘80s gay clubbing. His sound harkens back to Hi-NRG, early house and electro-disco hybrids, all with a modern touch. Sterling Juan Diaz cracks the whip. A mainstay in STUDIO, he delivers driving house and slamming club with a rare conviction.

@ Basement KETIA, KIM ANH, WILL JACK Altær celebrates its sixth anniversary. And what a run it’s been; kicking off on day one with an undiluted vision, Altær quickly established itself as one of the key spaces for jackhammer techno of the highest order. Six years later and it’s hard to imagine the NY nightlife without it. Dutch phenom Beste Hira makes her debut for the occasion. A resident at Amsterdam’s Orphic, Hira’s immaculate originals and sprawling sets tap into techno’s darker corners, merging gritty bite with a sensual minimalism. As a producer, she draws on her years of formal education, crafting works that are impeccably balanced and musically adventurous. Manchester’s Yant extends the legacy of cold blooded northern-UK techno. Stretching the pared-back aesthetic set by luminaries like Surgeon and Ø Phase into fresh terrain, Yant’s releases on mainstays like SK_Eleven, Hardgroove and Neighborhood are essential entries for any modern devotee of serious techno. Altær founder Auspex rounds it out. Like the party, his artistic voice has never wavered since the beginning. Auspex’s sets seethe with elemental power, summoning a primeval force that transcends genre.
Lisbon’s ketia steps back into STUDIO. Over the past couple years, they’ve become a consistent face in the room, while taking on a non-stop global touring schedule. Their reputation rests both on their community activism and behind-the-scenes DIY ethos as well as their music. ketia puts it best in their own words. They’re on “a crystal clear mission on bringing honesty to the table as a gateway to bliss on raving”. Kim Anh returns, channeling a past futures and cross-generational narratives of deviance and defiance. A lifelong digger, Anh’s selections wind through lost classics of the ‘80s and beyond. She locates tracks that feel like long-lost transmissions, signaling pockets of liberation and subversion across the decades. Will Jack joins. A resident at both TOSSD and ANIMAL, Jack drives it home with unalloyed groove and a sleazy, naughty sheen.
