how does this work

This site fetches a limited number of events from an allowed list of promoters and venues.

Depending on the promoter or venue, the source I fetch may be from a different source or even directly from them. Out of respect for certain sources, this site is not real-time and is updated once in a while (at least once a day), so it’s best to always check the event directly or your apps for the most up-to-date information.

I know it’s tempting to scrape this site, but please don’t. You will not get up-to-date data anyway.

Just contact me, and I can literally give you API access with direct access — I don’t care, just don’t be a dickhead. If I catch your stupid ass scraping this site, my nigga I will find you on the dancefloor and give you a stern talking to, and I will gradually start enabling anti-scraping stuff — or just block your IP.

This website is intentionally very lightweight and fast for everyone to access regardless of their device or bandwidth, so please don’t be a dickhead.

Resident Advisor is updated hourly, and the rest is updated once a day. A lot of these schedules are custom since sometimes they already publish schedules ahead of time, avoiding the need to constantly check for updates. (Also during the holidays they aren’t updating anyway.)
