what are accounts?

Accounts are not required to use 120bpm (and will never be required). Sign-ups are heavily restricted. Some events are sensitive to public perception; promoters may choose to use a trusted platform to share events with a smaller group of people, which 120bpm can support.

This might seem elitist, but it’s intended to provide a secure way to share sensitive information (such as addresses) for a smaller group of people. This already exists on other platforms (such as a direct link from Resident Advisor). 120bpm does not choose who is on what list or not; it’s solely up to the promoters to decide if it’s public.

Some promoters have direct integration with 120bpm, so if you already apart of their community, you can reach out to get a sign-up link.

Please please do not reach out to me in getting a sign-up link nor access to groups that may or may not exist — I will throw your email into the spam folder and personally flag your account to never sign up. I am not responsible for any lists.

120bpm is not responsible for any lists or groups that may or not exist, it does not condone or endorse any lists or groups that may or may not exist.

what are passkeys?

passkeys are new security standard that allow for a secure, passwordless login to a service — you may have seen this in wild under different names (sometimes you can just sign in with Face ID/Touch ID) — passkeys are intended so I don’t have to maintain passwords or such, and makes a bit tougher to share them around.

Your device should make things super easy to setup and save, but if you need help, you can always reach out to me and I can explain how it works.

what happens after i sign up?

Once you sign up, you’ll be added to a pending state. You’ll get a code to share for approval. Don’t share this code with anyone else, unless you want to added them to a private group.

what happens if i don’t get approved?

sorry about that, it’s possible that no group exists for you yet — your account will remain pending until you get added to a group, but your 120bpm would have remained the exact same (albeit with a pending status)
